In maart van dit jaar kwamen bassist Ron Carter en pianiste-zangeres Diana Krall drie dagen samen om voor het eerst in hun loopbaan als duo samen te spelen. Een filmploeg was erbij en legde de repetities en een optreden vast. Het resultaat, de film ‘Ron and Diana – Together', is 4 mei, op de 89ste verjaardag van de bassist, op zijn website geplaatst en kan daar tegen betaling bekeken worden.

Carter kijkt op Instagram met genoegen terug op de driedaagse met Krall: “Ms. Krall and I have a way of looking at music in some similar ways. I am being bold in speaking for her by writing my observations to-date: It is hard work to give love via music … as it should be; Music is healing … and we wish to be the way that it radiates out into the world at every opportunity;

To be able to give space to fellow musicians on the bandstand and to communicate while being wholly present via visual connection as the music unfolds, is a true blessing, and an honor to be granted the chance to do so; Life is fun when you include friends.”
